Second SI Foodware Reseller Event

Posted November 30th, 2011 in Schouw by Chantal

Last week our second SI Foodware Reseller Event took place in Brussels, Belgium. This year we had set up a two-day program for our resellers from all over the world.

We kicked off the event with a general update by Schouw Informatisering followed by a partner speed date. We also had invited a guest speaker to inform our resellers about Trends in Food and Engage Software gave a presentation about their solution. The first day ended with an update on Sales and Marketing. And after that we left to the centre of Brussels for a city walk and dinner.

The second day started with a presentation about Microsoft Dynamics® NAV and a demonstration of SI Foodware for Microsoft Dynamics® AX 2012. We had also invited our partner in scanning solutions, SDT Informatics, to show our resellers more about their solution. We ended the event with a discussion about “The Cloud”.

During this event there was plenty of room for resellers to meet and exchange experiences among themselves, which of course was an important aspect of this event. We hope our resellers had good and fun event and look forward to seeing them at our next SI Foodware Reseller Event.

Certified for Microsoft Dynamics is Microsoft Corp.’s highest standard for partner-developed software. This certification represents a significant step in elevating the standard for partner-developed software solutions for industry-specific business applications. Solutions with a successful software test have demonstrated development quality and compatibility with the Microsoft Dynamics product. VeriTest, a service of Lionbridge, performed independent and rigorous testing on the solution’s integration with Microsoft Dynamics.

“By requiring the software solution to meet our highest standards, Microsoft is assuring customers that these certified solutions work with their investments in Microsoft Dynamics,” said Doug Kennedy, vice president, Microsoft Dynamics Partners. “Microsoft congratulates Schouw Informatisering on the software test results and wishes it success in earning the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics designation.”

Schouw Informatisering specializes in ERP software for companies in the food & beverage industry. As a Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV), the company located in The Netherlands markets its own software solutions. “Schouw Informatisering has always been committed to software excellence, and passing the Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics is a reflection of that commitment,” said Henk Jan van de Water, Innovation Leader Dynamics AX at Schouw Informatisering.

Productivity Future Vision

Yesterday, I posted a really cool movie on Kinect and how it can help people around the world to interact with PC, gaming consoles, TV’s and much more. The beautiful thing here is that it is not just for gaming or entertainment but can also be of real value to businesses and business applications.

Productivity is an important topic in todays businesses and business application. From time to time, Microsoft releases future productivity videos in which they outline the future of technology and how we will use it. Last week, another Future Productivity movie was released, being highly popular on Youtube. I guess a lot of people are looking forward to be able to use technology in such a way.
